About

Seventeen years on the World Wide Web and you would think I’d know what to write on an About/Profile page by now. But this blog is quasi-anonymous so as for personal details, you’ll have to get to know me, or you can always e-mail me if you like (squirrellywriter@hotmail.com).

I turn 38 very soon, I teach language arts in middle school, I see snowcapped mountains every day, I love dark purple, and I am ecstatic that baseball season is beginning. Writing is my passion and my dream is to write professionally. I’ve got many essays (in the form of blog posts) from the past dozen years, several poems, and an extremely minimal amount of fiction.

Please read around on my site and I shall strive to visit and comment on yours.

Just put up a blog award post, and I nominated you. I know this blog is new, but I love your posts on Becca’s site and so far loving what you post here too. Post is up on my site for details.
    Cheers, Sarah

Thank you so much, Sarah. I don’t know if you ever read my old blog, but I’m glad you’re here now, and I’m humbled and honored that yours will be the first award for this site 🙂

I have not…I was introduced to your posts through Becca’s site, and then she plugged this one.

Glad I could have the honors of being the first! 🙂

I’m going to try to reblog some of my old posts here, the better ones anyway; most especially the infamous “Fifty What What?” satireview (yeah, I just made that up) of *that* book.

Interesting it shall be. That can be good or bad or both, but I strive to always at least be interesting. (And massively split infinitives).

Happy Birthday Jason, I usually post a nice video, but I don’t think it’d be appropriate this time lol
    All the best for you.

Thank you! (belatedly)… Nashville’s a lovely town. I’ve driven through it several times, but never stopped long enough to spend the time there it deserves. Whenever I think of it, I think of what my friend and I called the “Batman Building”… do you know which one I’m talking about?

Oh yes – the “Batman Building” is right downtown Nashville! Next time you’re rollin’ through, gimme a shout – and bring Becca with you! Hope you had a fantastic birthday!

I love the tittle of your Blog and the text caption underneath it! I will say my dirty mind didn’t take it in the clean sense of jumping on wood! My apologies in advance for this comment. The squirrel is adorable and a great theme for your writing.

Haha, well there is a reason I don’t mention squirrels’ passion for hoarding nuts! No apologies necessary, and thank you 🙂
